mmmm spinach

lunch was pretty good (though i did eat the lettuce garnish in my salad) Now I sis and wait for my clients to get back to me. fun. Meanwhile i bought myself a book after lunch... something i have heard great reviews of... a book about a dog called, Marley and Me. I am a sucker for these types of stories, so I will read it and pass it along to my dog loving family, including my grand parents and my aunt and uncle, who have both owned yellow labs before.

Do you know how much I love you?

So today is Fat Tuesday, the climax of Mardi Gras, Carnival and other types of partying. The biggest I know here at work. Today is they day that we order in from Billy Goats. getting ourselves cheezborger, coke, no fries. (actually the Billy Goats near us DO serve fries, but that is now besides the point.) The point is I am going to eat healthy with my friends from uofc. You guys must know by now how I love my junk food, but I am putting lunch with you above all that. So I ask, Do you know how much I love you all?

One lingering question....

Ricky Martin.... Why? I mean I understand that Avril Lavigne was a better rep than Alanis for Canada, but what did Ricky and his back-up ho's have to do with the Olympic spirit?

Other notes: I think that the 50km xcountry skiing "marathon" should be held and every Olympics... I found the 5 mins of highlights (out of about an hour) highly exciting.

Now that the Olympics are over I will have more time for my Financial Statement analysis learning. If anyone can explain to me why know how to figure out CFO indirectly and directly is important please tell me.

This week: Lunch with the UC crew on Tuesday. Wednesday get your ashes and don't eat meat, Friday no ashes, but again no meat... still not sure if I will try to give up frivolous spending for lent... caffeine is easier...

His goal was 11th?

So with all the Olympic bloging that is going on I must ask if any one else caught the men's freestyle jumping last night (squeezed in between all those spandex pants and fluff skirts)? Did you see the Chinese man win gold?!? His coach had said going in to the competition that his hope was for 11th or 12th place. Is jumping that volatile? Or did the coach just not know the true potential of his athlete?

Han, too bad SI.com couldn't find a cooler pic...

On another note I am incredibly happy that the Italian won gold in the men's 1500 speedskating. Americans that feel the need to bicker and talk smack that much belong in the wwf not the Olympics.

Oh, and with all the talk of nice looking skaters, did anyone see the model/skater from Finland... i thought she was pretty cute...

Bonus

yes you get 2 post for the price of one today.

I was looking at my favoite link on my google home and came across a link about potatoes.

Look at the loveliest sight I have seen all day (not including my husband)

prezzy day

So, getting to work today was easy enough, why might you ask? Because everyone and their brother seemed to have today off. Making getting up when you hear the words "below zero" and "feels like" strung together on the radio very hard.

This weekend we went out with Connie and crew, see Bill's recap or Connie's photojournal on the event. Apparently, we all have boring blogs blah blah blah... I must say, when you visit a blog called not creative , you shouldn't be expecting much. Anyway, I have decided if I ever need a very honest answer to any type of question I will take it to Leejean and that I certainly don't have the will power for dieting.

On Sunday, we drove Lil to the airport for her cruise, and then ran errands like going to the bank (Sorry, "out of order") and dropping off dry cleaning (despite the huge neon sigh saying "open" they are, in fact, closed on Sundays). After that, we met Faisal and Mitul for lunch where we discussed Mitul's growing wealth due to gambling and Faisal's growing wealth of knowledge. There were funny things said, none of which are repeatable because, as always, they involve ripping on people not in attendance. Reza's was very good and for 20$ a person I think you can really get your money's worth at Sunday brunch.

Now that it is Monday, I am back into the study schedule after taking a break for our trip and getting sick last week. I must, however, find time for all the Olympics, because the CFA comes once a year, but by the time Vancouver rolls around I will almost be 29.

What class should it take?

Jed is taking beginning gymnastics for adults ... Neil is taking a class on beginning improve at second city... Lily is learning Mandarin... So this leads me to my greatest pondering I have done in some time...

What should I sign up for?

I could go the route of Emily Gilmore and start painting moonscapes, but I think nighttime in February is a bit cold for that... Maybe I should take singing lessons? I mean everyone knows I can't carry a tune, but what if they could teach me how... (personally I think I am beyond help). Or I could try for something a bit more useful like photography... I mean we all take pictures right?

any ideas?
