not working week

Yes it is Thursday and I have "worked" a total of 14 hours this week. the amount of work i have done in those hours is even less.

Classes are going well (i get to leave at 2pm every tuesday, how could they go wrong).

furniture is being delivered (finally a place to put all the gifts that people gave at our wedding.)

I feel sick still, but i couldn't miss two days of work for feeling craptastic... there is an allotment of on day per every three months that you can take a craptastic day and that was used yesterday... ill get another one for next quarter... to be used in december? perhaps...

i have almost finished one of the two albums i am working on for my bridesmaids... i think after i finish them i will have no creativity left to make the ireland and wedding one for myself (i should mention i still have an album left to finish that was started last may .. MAY!!!) edit: Bill says I should clarify that this was May 2004.

work is piling up and i feel like i will spend this next month barely alive... i should get back to the grind.

yesterday was my birthday

and today is just another day...


anyway thank you all for the many warm wishes... i only hope i can remember you on your birthday. if you are afraid i'll forget when that is reply with the date and it will be added to bill's master list.

so last night i had the most craptastic sleep. I woke up twice because of the rain and i had two different nightmares... so now i am forced to ask... is it friday yet? I need my weekend, I need sleep and sleeping in I need those joyous two days that are all my own.

I bought some books on monday, and propmtly finished one monday night. Now I am reading Krakatoa - the day the world exploded (or some other catchy phrase). I have left Bel Canto which I have read good reviews about... Next of my list is good night nobody, series of unfortunate events book the twelfth, and the CFA study guides-four delightful books that arrived on my door step yesterday and I refused to open on my birthday.

Ok it is 1115 time to do nothing until lunch at 1130.

birthday bashes--and it's not even my birthday yet!

So this weekend we celebrated my upcoming 24th birthday. I would like to thank Bill for orchestrating the whole event. He and Lily tried to keep my present a surprise, but it just wasn't meant to be. So I had a wonderful 60min massage on Saturday afternoon followed by a "grow-up" facial-y thing and a manicure.

Next was dinner.

Bill has pictures of this event but since I am writing at my office at work he'll have to post them.

Wildfire was delish and I would like to thank the U of C crowd that made the trek from the city --Frank, Neil, and Connie, A special thank you to Agent Wang who was in town for reasons totally unrelated to my birthday. The other partakers in this glutton-fest were BJ Mitul Lily Bill and me.

Anyway since we had already had 2 desserts (along with the 2 appetizers, 2 salads, 2 main dishes, and 2 starches) Bill, Lily and I celebrated my birthday again at home yesterday eating the ice cream cake from Coldstone. Very Yummy.

So here is my shout out for all September birthdays:Shawna, Gina, Neil, Erin, Alana -- Happy birthday. you are all Virgos and therefore are all the best (me being the bestest, nat.)

changing my name

So I just got off the phone with AMEX to finish requesting a name change with them. I have now changed my name on the following:
SS card
Drivers Licence
Business Cards
Emails
Bank Acct
Credit cards
voicemails

Now all I have left is the following:
Passport
Library cards
YMCA membership
Lettuce Entertainment
Southwest points card
Insurance (requested the change a month ago... still no word)
Jewel/Dominic's cards
all frickin email cookies (ie amazon, ebay, proflowers..)

so i just had lunch with Frank, Neil, Connie, and LeeJean. (oh and Bill of course) I was told since I don't like to do my own work at work I should be blogging instead of chatting with maryB.

So here is another blog brought to you by the letter Rr and the number 5.

Frank started shool a bit ago, it's his last year and he is super busy, hence he is no longer blogging.

Connie's car is still having problems, so she won't go see a movie with me, but i changed her ring tone --let's see if she noticed

LeeJean is commuting on the same train line as bill and I but i have never seen her coming or going. she probably works harder so therefore isn't on the 7:51 going in or the 4:54 going out.

Neil is neil and was wearing a tie because he wanted to look more important than the rest of us (he says he had a meeting).

Bill is trying to figure out if he should go to B-school or not... let him know what you think here...

and Me well I just want it to be friday already.

My plans for this weekend...

1. I need to get MaryB's bridesmaid dress altered so that the wire doesn't draw blood, though with the color of the dress you wouldn't know if blood was being drawn. (Mary, I love the color by the way!)
2. I want to find a place to clean my wedding dress... and I have called on the chicago knotties to help me... i should probably check my post.
3. Clean my room/ unpack from last weekend
4. bug bill about getting tivo.
5. register for the CFA.
6. see contant gardner
7. finish writing the thank you note i have already written on the train
8. take a well deserved nap

As you can see i am being rather ambitious this is what i think will happen:
Friday- #8, eat, #6
Saturday- #1, #8, eat, #8, # 5, eat, play online and #4
Sunday- church, grocery shop, eat, #8, eat, veg in front of tv while #4

pissed off...

so i just wrote this long and well written post about making cookies last night only for it to go where 95% of my online shit goes to the "server not responding" stupid crap!

anyway i made cookies last night they are kick ass and it is all thanks to my new mixer. I had some warnings posted in my old post (you know licking the beater, egg shells etc) but since it is alll gone i don't feel like retyping it..

anyway thanks to all who gave us the mixer.

short week

we got home from cleveland yesterday evening around 5... we will not be driving back to cleveland until next year... let hope that gas prices aren't at 5.00 by then.

Mary Bridget's shower was lovely. she got some very nice gifts and she has a very sweet family.

My cousin Angela is pregnant... yay for her! just keep me away from the water that she and her friends are drinking (2 others are preg, 1 just had a baby)

work is annoying because i am too tired to concentrate. I have to sign up for the CFA this week... more loss of money... poop.

People disgust me

shooting at doctors and nurses trying to evacuate sick people is just wrong... makes me sick.

how ever there are plenty of people who are opening their homes and hearts to the victims of katrina so i guess that is a glimmer of hope...
