time for bed

bill made a blog... check it out.

runaway bride = stupid idiot

I am finally doing the puzzle my dad bought me in the canyon lands my goodness it's a frikin' nightmare.

hmm the tv just advertised animation domination on fox -- yay family guy

for all those that weren't sure what PSA means it is public service announcement

That all i have to say, i'm tired and cranky and my back hurts... you ask why... well i work-up due to a wedding nightmare at 6:40 this morning(don't ask) so i went to the ymca to work off my worries... then i ran errands and then i went on a hunt for white satin covered buttons (again, better not ask) and then for the last 2 hours I "amused" myself with that damn puzzle and now my back is aching. oh and some how in the process of working on that puzzle I hit my un-funny bone three(3) times.

oh and every one laugh at bill (again best not to ask just do as I say)

In The News

News Bits:
So the "run-away" bride thing scares me. 600 guests and she disappears on the nightly run? If it is foul play (which I really really really hope it isn't) I think it will be the FI that did it...

Also in the news, the mother that stabbed her two children to death, wait here's the worst part she stabbed them over 500 times. The poor husband, and their baby died in a fire (they are now reopening that case).

Then there is the president ruining my meal time because he is on every station telling me how drilling in Alaska is good and Social Security is dead and well then I changed to channel to the WB (blue collar tv was on)

Oh, and then there is the guy that had his mother frozen in his freezer in WI. Apparently they have declared that she died of natural causes... still seems a bit fishy to me (besides he had home-made bombs and an arsenal of guns).

Anyway, Bill and I will probably go see Kung Fu Hustle again, due to Jed talk to him about it last night. But really, it is a very funny and well produced kung fu movie.

PSA star wars is coming out soon have you gotten your ticket yet?

AW (Attention Whore) there are 99 days to my wedding!!! and 21 days until I trek over the ocean to the Emerald Isles. Wedding plans are coming along smoothly, this weekend we need to go reserve tuxes, finish up typing out the addresses and get them in a Lani-friendly format, call the lady from the Hilton, and start making maps for all you lovely guests... I really thing if you live in Cleveland (or lived in Cleveland) you should be able to find you way to Rockside road... if now learn to read a map, and if you can't do either of those, well I don't know if you should be coming to my wedding... oh and I have to find buttons... anyway if anyone would like to finish the planning for me and I can just show up I would appreciate it.

ok well I have successfully wasted about 40 min thinking about and writing this post. ha that made me think of something funny... I was on the phone with Bill and told him I had just finished reading a post from my grandma (Mimi). Well Bill was rightfully confused since I mostly read posts related to our wedding on sites like theknot. Anyway I corrected myself, and I must say I am proud that I have a grandma who emails me.

Tired

so work has been keeping me busy therefore I haven't been posting. Cleveland was nice until it snowed a foot. Wedding is moving along... just wish someone other than me was moving it along. Ireland is coming up fast (23 days I believe.) Law and Order is on right now and it keeps distracting me. I have been watching that Revelations mini series... weird stuff with a bunch of skeptical religious backing.

I haven't found any good books to read, so if any of you have suggestions of good fiction reading (in paperback prefered) please just comment of this...

ok i think i am going to go watch alias now.

cleveland=snow

so, we are in Cleveland this weekend, which means, yes, it is snowing. stupid frickin snow. anyway we worked on a ton of wedding stuff today and yeasterday and because of it I now have a massive headache. We did get some very good Chinese food for dinner tonight from the place that is catering the rehersal dinner. We looked at flowers and found out that nothing matches the color of the dresses. I went to try and find a veil to find out if i knew how to sew I could make a beautiful veil for about 20$ but since I can't it will cost me about 100$.

well i am being summoned to leave for the movie we are seeing so I'll give a more detailed recap of the weekend tomorrow.

you may need sunglasses....

hide the children, shield your eyes... since it is supposed to hit 80 today I decided on wearing a skirt today. Damn... i really need to do something about how frickin pale i am.

Anyway the remainder on the weekend was nice. Yesterday Bill and I walked around Oakbrook Center. I got my cousin (really first cousin once removed) a shower gift and picked up some toys (like a silicone basting brush). Sundays always stink because there are always a billion things that need to be done on the weekend and I usually refuse to do them on Saturday.

Anyway, it is starting to really hit me that in about a month I will be in the "mother land" (32 days to be exact, and there are 110 til W-day for those who are counting).

So right now I should be working on the mounting pile of work, but instead I just want to go outside and take a nap in the sun (that would fix the pasty problem too).

This week is a short one, because we will leave thursday to go back to oHIo (heh –what’s round on the ends and high in the middle?) and short weeks are always just longer weeks in disguise because you have to do all the work you should do in 5 days in 4.
alrighty i think that is all for today. I have found I have a great lack of books to read at the moment. If anyone has suggestions lemme know.

Mary Bridget

I talked to Miss Mary today ... made my day, well that phone call plus having a cook out with burgers twice baked potatoes and baked beans basically made my month.

Anyway it sounds like Mary has adapted to the post communist life of Hungary. It was great to catch up -- you must realize that this is the girl that I talked to so much in college that my local phone bill cost more than long distance.

As I have said we had a cook out today... there is nothing better than eating a perfect burger with all the fixin's. We also went and flew kites today so, yes, today has been great.

I have decided this "cold" is really just horrid allergy problems. I just wish what ever it was it would go away. I am sick of my sniffle-nose.

Today Bill took apart his playstation to "fix" it. So we brought out Tekken Tag(to test his "fix"), which was the game he had when we were first dating. It reminded me of the Annettes. That, and we watched some cowboy bebop last night. we watched the mushroom hunting episode... i really like Ed. more so i love Ein... i really wish we could get a dog... but seeing as i kill all my plants except my aloe i don't think a dog is a good idea right now.

alright enough of my babbling. I hope all 3 of you readers out there have been enjoying my more constant posting.

have a nice Sunday --don't forget that desperate housewives is new this week (not sure about extreme home makeover).

President Bush

still recovering... computer working against me...

Pres Bush visited my Uncle's restaurant. here are pics of my brother and the president and of my Uncle Jeff, Aunt Maura and cousins with the president.

Politics aside, meeting a president is a pretty cool thing so i figured posting some pics was in order.

Happy birthday Carolyn!

Yeah I doubt you will ready this (mostly be cause I haven't given out my blog site to many people) but happy birthday anyway.

I am more sick today than yesterday... work is going painfully slow and I have so much to do. You know for the last month i have had nothing to do, but when I get stuff I get sick this blows.

So the CTA is planning on doing some really horrible changes, I am glad I ride the posh metra. They are raising the price to 2$ a ride and cutting service (wiping out entire bus routes etc) But here's the kicker--the CTA acknowledges that they have had money management issuse people in the city pay taxes, and money goes to the CTA but some how it is the loyal rides fault that the CEO doesn't want to take a pay cut for mis-managing money. Just another reason i would rather live in a socailist country. take all the money at once and have no hidden taxes and if the government screws up replace them. that and all the holiday time... I really would rather just stay home, I don't like work....

In other big news Britney well you all know the story silly girl got knocked up by the white trash guy and will really be regretting it when he leaves her for a newer blonder replacemnt (i mean look how great of a father he's been to his first two kids).

Also I have to say there are way too many annoying people in the world. today Bill was asking me who you would have an hour long conversation wiht on the train at 740 in the morning... I really don't know but at least annoying lady wasn't on the train today. She is this 45-50 year old bitter woman that spend the *entire* train ride complaining to whomever will listen. complains about her lazy 20-something daughter who lives at home, complains about her crazy mother (who also lives at home?) complains about the people she works with complains about her landlord, complains about her cell phone --you get the picture yet? and she doesn't complain softly, no even though i sit a few rows back from her I can tell you where her daughter works, how much she (the daughter) owes her mother, where she just bought new lamps, why her landlord is a horrible person etc... anyway she angers me. she is so loud that sometimes my ipod won't drown her out.

ok well i have just used what was left of my lunch time and then some so i should get back to work.

Hand me a Kleenex

I'm sick.
...Or so I think... my nose is stuffy and i don't feel good. but I should post a happy birthday shout out to my Mom. Happy Birthday!!!

Otherwise work has become super busy with quarterly reporting deadlines fastly approaching. Hence me not posting. Congrats to Jed on his job. I really don't have much to say... everwood is new again next week. I am not sure about gilmore girls (either next week or the week after i think).

Yesterday was super windy/rainy and seeing as i walk past the sears tower my umbrella broke. But wait, you say, isn't that the umbrella that has a life time guarantee? yes, yes it is. so yesterday evening i took my umbrella with a broken wing to Nordstroms and place it on the counter and they happily replaced it. wow. thats why you go and buy it from nordstroms. while i was there i bough a pair of ugly shoes... they are called crocs ... i will weigh in on them once i have worn them for a bit. I have high expectations for these shoes so i hope they don't disappoint.

ok well it is almost dinner time and bill is on the phone with Scott. I think i will go get the plates and forks and stuff ... not much on since american dreams already had it's season finale.

i will try to post the birthday shout out tomorrow, but if i get too busy at work or too sick, happy early birthday Carolyn!!!

Friday- Bobby's 18

It is Friday night and I sit here at the computer... you know what that means don't you... yes Kung Fu Hustle which I have been wanting to go see with Bill was not released this weekend, rather it was but only in cities I don't care about.

Anyway today was opening day here for the Cubs... like people care or something... though on the radio I heard that there is a garage near the field that is now providing valet bike service... I wonder how much you tip for that?!?

Due to popular demand I have now allowed for anyone to post comments... thats right because RJ is too darn lazy to type his name and password...

So I don't know what to do this weekend. I finally got to go to coldstone last weekend (I had been craving that forever, but after i can't even think about having it any time soon. I should go and get Bobby his birthday present --oh --yeah Happy Birthday Bobby!! You are 18 go watch porn what voting and smoking... turning 18 sorta sucks... you are an adult but you are still living at home and you are still dependent on your parents and all.

I have been wanting to read some new books... and I have been to lazy to go to the store and buy some, and I have read all the books lent to me by various people so I attempted to read a book I was supposed to read in physics class in college The elegant Universe I thought it was supposed to be a good book but I got one chapter in and remembered why I didn't read it the first time... just too smart for me. So in consolation I bought a brides magazine :)

Bill is feeling left out of my blog because I wasn't complaining about him... Well, dear, hello and yes your swearing at the tv is loud, but I have learned to tune it out.

My boos made me leave work tonight... Literally said "you are leaving with me to go to the train --the work will still be here on Monday" So on the walk home he was telling me that he had already miss part of his religious holy days, and that this weekend he would be partaking in them ... and yes he is talking about the Masters... apparently golf is pretty important to a lot of people at work, as with the Cubs ehh... I don't really care.

Ok well I still need to print some stuff out on the computer and then go play Lei and try and beat Bill. so good night and if I don't get back here--have a nice weekend.

Rainy

so, Chicago has had some really nice weather lately but today is just plain nasty. I am sitting in my office right now and the sky is grey and if you went outside the gusts of wind would blow you away.

But enough about the weather. I haven't posted anything in a while, I guess I didn't realize the commitment I was making when I started this. I mean, it's not like I don't have major commitments already: Everwood, Gilmore Girls, and NBC on Thursdays, not to mention movies and playing videos games with my biggest commitment Bill. Hi Bill! So as you can see my life is incredibly busy, which means posting during work hours. But that is difficult too, because I have commitments to other boards, checking my email, reading the news, and, well, work.

Ok so now that I have given my excuses I will start my post...

So the Pope died, may he rest in peace, and now they are turning away mourners. I think that's pretty silly though, I mean these are the true believers and you are just going to turn them away?!? Hasn't the Church lost enough followers lately? But, I am more interested in the process of getting a new pope. 100% of what I know about that process is from Dan Brown's book Angels and Demons, and since Brown is sorta high and the Church's "we don't like you very much list" I wonder if I have been misinformed. (I mean I am using a fiction book to base all of my knowledge on.)

In other news the price of pulling a taxi cab has increased in Chicago. It used to be like $1.90 and now it will be like $2.15. Why can't the just get nice even numbers?

If you can't tell I am trying out all the fonts available to me. I think I like Times the best, and will probably post in the future in times.

Well, it is almost Friday again and there are now 43 days until my trip to Ireland and 121 until W day. It is also the 5th business day of the month and that means next week will be a busy one at work. My live has been boring though I was please when my book I ordered on Amazon (which was shipped from Momence, IL) only took 3 days instead of 10 to get to me. You must realize that Momence is only 2 hours away from the city and I could have driven to the frickin warehouse myself much quicker that the postal service did. I think they should give you that option. They tell you what warehouse your stuff is coming from and you have the option of driving there and getting it and paying no shipping. Just my $.02. I did see Sin City, and enjoyed it. The cinematography was really cool, besides it had some of my favorites from WB shows. I watched Troy on Wednesday and it was pretty good. I was never a fan of the Illiad, but I can handle a buch of topless men :)

ok well I have been at work for an hour now and done nothing but eat my breakfast and play online. I think it is time fore my to sign off and get to work.

April fools...

I hate this day! It only shows everyone that I am honest and believe others to be honest as well. Stupid gmail even got me, I was all excited by infinite space... and i really liked their graph. But at least I get paid today, and tomorrow is a Saturday, better than having fools day on a Monday.

According to my hand-written countdown on my calendar (yes before blogging I would do anything to not work) there are 127 days till my wedding and 49 days till I leave for Ireland. But, to me the most important countdown isn't included on my calendar. I decided I would force myself to actually compute 2+(days left til wedding)=days left til honeymoon. Yea, I am going to Ireland, and yes that is exciting and all, but a trip to Disney World with my hubby will be so much fun!

Well today I have two birthday shout outs, not that either of these people will read my blog, mostly because they are both turning 8, but also because I haven't really told anyone about my blog. Anyway, Happy Birthday David and Chris.

I think I will try to see sin city this weekend, we'll see if it will happen or not.

Ok time to actually work for my money (there's only an hour before lunchtime).
