Chinese fruit cake

This is moon cake. It is given to friends and family during the moon festival every year. Bill likens it to Chinese fruit cake. It is a dense cake associated with a holiday that every one gives but many don't like to actually eat.

Huh. Well, it looks pretty groovy.

the think Bill doesn't like is the "preserved" egg yolk in the center of the cake. it is supposed to be the full moon and represent fertility and all that but it is a bit of an acquired taste.
